In this pivotal role, you are responsible for providing leadership, consultation, advice, direction and assistance to Fraser Health programs and departments to support a quality practice environment and excellence in clinical practice for Allied Health professions.
Working in close collaboration with multiple internal stakeholders and accountable to the Executive Director, Professional Practice, Allied Health and Chief Nursing Officer you will:
• Monitor compliance with legislation and professional standards of practice, facilitate evidence-informed practice and support the implementation of best practice models of care delivery.
• Lead and/or participate in research activities and provide expert advice on professional practice programs and issues including credentialing, scope of practice and effective interprofessional and intraprofessional relations.
• As a senior health care professional for the Health Authority, you will work closely with external bodies such as the various professional regulatory colleges, the Ministry of Health, and other Health Authorities in the province.
• Represent Fraser Health at external events or on external committees.
You are integral to the evaluation of clinical outcomes, accreditation processes and quality improvement initiatives.
As the successful candidate you have a Masters Degree in an allied health profession and a minimum of eight years recent, related clinical and operational management experience in a complex health care environment including progressive clinical practice, education, research, project management and leadership experiences. You have current practicing registration with the relevant regulatory college or association in British Columbia.
