| We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner in the community of Hope, B.C. Hope is a vibrant town on the banks of the Fraser River with all the positive aspects of an integrated, rural community. With the sprawling beauty of the Fraser Valley and forested mountains surrounding the town, visitors and residents experience beauty in every season. All highways from the B.C. coast to the rest of Canada come through Hope, and there is easy access to the Lower Mainland and Interior of the province. As a key member of an interprofessional team, you will provide a variety of health care services to clients as well as providing professional guidance/direction to other health professionals. Your client population will be broad based and include seniors, patients with chronic/complex conditions and the frail elderly residents of Fraser Hope Lodge. This NP position is based in the office of a local practice, supported by two GPs. You will collaborate with patients/clients/residents and other health professionals to identify and assess trends and patterns that have implications for patient/clients/residents, families and communities. You will develop and implement population and evidence-informed strategies to improve health and participate in policy-making activities that influence health services and practices. Your qualifications include current practicing registration (exam qualified), as a Nurse Practitioner with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC) and relevant, clinical nursing experience in a community setting.
