| Be on the cutting edge of innovative delivery of occupational health nursing services! Our occupational health nursing services are provided using a telehealth model, and your focus will primarily be on managing communicable disease in our employee population. These services will be provided to all health authorities in BC by early fall 2012 using our provincial call centre. Reporting to the Managing Consultant, Health and Wellness, this position is primarily located in the Workplace Health (WH) Call Centre at Central City in Surrey, BC, though you may also be required to work in Field Services throughout Fraser Health, including immunization clinics and prevention projects. Working in the WH Call Centre, you will be required to build rapport quickly by telephone, applying telehealth skill sets. This position is ideally suited to individuals who are comfortable working in a paperless environment with multiple computer systems and multitasking. Your qualifications include: • A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BScN) and current, practicing registration with the College of Registered Nurses' of British Columbia (CRNBC). • A certificate in Occupational Health Nursing from a recognized program. • Registration or eligibility for registration as a Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) is preferred. • Three years' recent, related experience. Candidates currently registered in an occupational health nursing specialty certificate program working towards completion, as well as previous experience in a telehealth, public health or infection control setting may be considered.
